The first time I was introduced to this film was from my grandfather who fancied Chinese swordsplay. The story starts off a little slow until the Buddhist monk teams up with a loyal monkey and in each event they encounter, they are amazingly able to pick up another comrade. Each foe that is met in their adventureous journey seem have bad intentions to hurt the Buddhist monk and his friends but with each attempt, the foes fail.
I have fell in love with this movie since my early childhood and it is a family treat I intend to share with my children on the essence of friendship, loyalty, and courage. |
