Plot:	Robert is an aristocrat who takes it upon himself to take out Adolph Hitler. When the assassination attempt fails, Robert is captured and tortured within an inch of his life by the Gestapo, but he manages to escape and make his way back to England.
Overview:	This British made-for-television film stars Peter O'Toole as Sir Robert Thorndyke, an aristocrat who takes it upon himself to take out Adolph Hitler. It's 1939, however, and Hitler is not yet recognized as the monster he was. When the assassination attempt fails, Thorndyke is captured and tortured within an inch of his life by the Gestapo, but he manages to escape and make his way back to England.
