"The House Of 72 Tenants" is presented as an elaborate stage-play in multiple acts. The action centers on the immigrant tenants living in a tenement overseen by the pompous and arrogant couple who own the rundown building. The tenants repeatedly foil the landlords' scheming to get the better of them. The acting is wonderful, and the movie is an enjoyable peek at a Hong Kong long gone.
