Contains eight classic episodes featuring Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Sylvester, Elmer Fudd, and many more. Some in color, some in black and white, produced between 1937 and 1956.
Overview:
"Odds my bodkins!" Daffy, as Jack, is at first upset at having traded a "perfectly good grade-A homogenized Holstein cow" for three stupid beans ("Jack, you're a jerk"), until the beanstalk starts sprouting out of a rabbit hole. Jack climbs it eagerly, anticipating finding some "solid gold goodies" at the top. Bugs gets involved because his bed has been carried upwards by the beanstalk. Elmer, imaginatively cast as the Giant, obviously enjoys a rare opportunity to play a genuine threat, notwithstanding his lisp and harmless manner. There's the post Rabbit Seasoning word play we've grown accustomed to, specifically a very funny running gag about Daffy trying to convince Elmer that Bugs is really Jack, so that a confused Elmer announces that he'll have to "open up with a pair of Jacks". The distinguishing gags here are the visual ones: one-inch high Bugs and Daffy riding on popped champagne corks, hiding in Elmer's snuff box, running around on the inside of his head (when he smokes them out, they try to sneak out through the cigarette), climaxing in the teeny-tiny Bugs tripping the colossal Elmer just by sticking out a microscopic rabbit foot. Bugs knows it's time to be going, but Daffy won't leave without the treasure he came for, "On account of I am greedy". Bugs does get his reward, a field of giant carrots to eat himself silly in. The last scene has a captive Daffy recruited as a living cartoon-character watch.
