Plot:	A van carrying a load of nitroglycerine has vanished under mysterious circumstances. The freight is highly explosive, and worse yet, the heat wave plaguing the city will cause the charge to blow itself up on its own within 63 hours!
Overview:	In the New York area, a van carrying a load of nitroglycerine has vanished under mysterious circumstances. The freight is highly explosive and would suffice to transform the metropolis into a lunar landscape. Worse yet, the heat wave plaguing the city will cause the charge to blow itself up on its own within 63 hours! This is a case for FBI agent Jerry Cotton. But he isn't the only one looking for the nitroglycerine: underworld boss Larry Link is also trying to get hold of it, since he feels this could be the deal of his life. Larry gives Jerry Cotton a "hot" reception--but the FBI agent is undaunted. His race against time has just begun...
