Plot:	In occupied France, a man finds a note from a Jewish POW which reads simply, "I'm alive and I love you. Sarah," including her address, where he finds her diary. Overview:	After the German invasion of France, Jews are rounded up and put into railroad boxcars for relocation to ghettos and concentration camps. At a station stop, a woman manages to slip a note out of the boxcar which reads simply, "I'm alive and I love you. Sarah," and includes her address. The note is found by Julian, a station employee, who goes to the address on the note. There he finds her remaining family, two grandparents and a four year-old son, Thibault. After helping them to forge papers which will help them to survive the Nazis' cruel game, the grandparents disappear, and Julian takes home Thibault, along with Sarah's diary. The diary soon becomes an obsession for Julian, as he finds himself falling in love with Sarah through her writing, and a void slowly grows between Julian and his own girlfriend.
