Plot:	Etienne lives in Rouen with his mother, Caroline. When he receives a video camera from his grandmother for his sixteenth birthday, he starts to film his daily life...
Overview:	Etienne lives in Rouen with his mother, Caroline. When he receives a video camera from his grandmother for his sixteenth birthday, he starts to film his daily life: at home with his mother, at school with his best friend Ludovic, at the ice rink where he is in training for the national figure skating championships. He is not only fascinated by Ludovic's stories about girls but also by his history teacher, Laurent, whom he films continuously. Etienne is making neither a film nor a diary: he is simply accumulating fragments of life by snapping them up as they happen, or sometimes by directing his world for the camera. Etienne films his friends and family, what makes him laugh, what intrigues him or what he believes to be important to preserve. However, filming is not as innocent a game as he might have thought and when Etienne tells Ludovic that 2002 will be “the year of love”, he does not yet know what the word means.
