Record Of Lodoss War: Chronicles Of The Heroic Knight All Content Used With Permission. ![]() Dungeons And Dragons comes to life in this magical fantasy adventure, complete with a band of heroes consisting of a fighter, a wizard, a cleric, a thief, a dwarf, and an elf. Lots of magic and fighting going on during the course of their epic quest. The character design is very good, and Deedlit (the female elf) is impishly cute, making the whole series that much more fun to watch. Starting with episode 8, the original story arc has ended and the series takes a different direction with the addition of some new characters. Unfortunately, towards the end of the series they start skimping on the animation, and in particular the dragon scenes, which really cheapens the look and impact of the story. -Alex In Wonderland (see my profile) This series is solid fantasy fare...in sort, the whole spread of elements that nine high-fantasy novels out of ten deliver. -Toons: The Animation Magazine ![]() Full of action, this has a complex plot, well-developed characters, and exceptional direction and music. Grade: A. -Sci Fi: The Official Magazine of the Sci-Fi Channel
