Great set of revenge flicks, wish "O" and "R" (4/5) would get released.

Vol. 1: The story starts with three strangers that witness the brutal stabbing of a young woman. They become friends and to celebrate there friend ship they decide to throw a party. But when only Kensuke fiends a date it is starting to look very grim for their party. On the way Kensuke is jumped and his date is raped, they decide to throw a new party, one of blood and vengeance. If you're looking for extreme blood and gore I would go somewhere else. Most of the movie is them being turned down by girls with one big bang in the end.

Vol. 2: The story is pretty much not there. A boy is beaten by a gang for money, and when he tries to find help they kidnap and beat them. Unlike the first part of the series, there is more gore and blood in this movie than you can shake a stick at. There is rape, torture, and death at a premium and you are in the first row.

Vol. 3: The last chapter is about a perverted boy named Kiku. While searching for flies in the garbage, he finds some pantyhose and other personal items belonging to a local women. He starts to have a crush on a woman he knows only through her garbage. He collects parts of her old day planners and starts to stalk her. Slowly he loses all contact with reality.

In Conclusion: This is one of the darkest things I have seen in the course of my life. By the time the credits rolled I felt terrible to be a human. When I had finally finished the series, it proved humans were less than trash. We could take something that meant something to someone and destroy it without a thought or care. “We are incomplete corpses moving through life to become perfect corpses.”

A great collection of films, all holding their own special qualities. A must-have for Asian fans of blood and guts.

These films are NOT for everyone, and I'm still trying to figure out if they are for me. As I'm sure others have already said.

The first film is the closest to an actual story, basically it's your standard revenge flick, with the most well-rounded characters found in the trilogy, and it actually manages to evoke some sympathy and maybe understanding from the viewer.

The second is the most violent and unrelenting of the three, and possibly my favorite. Not, necessarily because it is so violent and cruel, but simply because it had the power to unsettle me.

The third film is the most disgusting of the three and is the one most likely to exercise your gag reflex. Not necessarily violent, just perhaps more of an intimate look at the human body and it's functions than I would have liked.

Although all of these films are virtually plotless (with the exception of the first), I must give them credit for the fact that each of them managed to evoke such a strong physical and/or emotional reaction from me. These films aren't exactly what one would call "entertaining", but the fact that they can affect the viewer in such a tremendous way has to be worth something.
