The Samurai Trilogy [Crash Cinema 3-Disc Set]

URGENT NOTE: A lot of people have asked us about differences between the Crash Cinema and Taiwanese versions of the Samurai Trilogy DVDs. The Crash version is a bit blurry and has oversaturated yellows. The subtitles are also a bit blurry and are non-removable. The Taiwan version has a much sharper picture and more muted, controlled color tones. The subtitles are player-generated so they are much crisper and are also removable. On the plus side for the Crash version, the credits are subtitled and there is an 18-minute documentary on the making of a traditional Japanese sword. If you're on a tight budget, the Crash version is an excellent value. Otherwise we have to recommend the Taiwanese DVDs.

Plot:	This classic trilogy, loved the world over, traces the life of Takezo (Toshiro Mifune) as it finds him traveling the globe as a samurai. A must for fans of Akira Kurosawa and Toshiro Mifune.
Overview:	The culmination of the trilogy finds Miyamoto renouncing his search for fame in favor of the quest for inner truth. His destiny continues to pursue him! Settling down to a life on the land in a peasant village, he is drawn into protecting the villagers against marauding bandits. And beyond this battle lies the ultimate contest with the driven and obsessive Kojiro Sasaki. The epic closes in a stunning sunset duel.
