Not a great movie with Tan Tao Liang. Could have been a great classic Japanese/Chinese rivalry but it's not. TTL is very average in this one. Most fights are very slow (1-2-3 stuff). A few good kicks here and there by TTL but nothing to salvage this movie. The ending is a rip-off of the original Game of Death with fights in a pagoda, with dumb fighters such as big twin Mongolians who can't speak, an axe that flies by itself???? Pathetic! Kam Kong as a badass samurai? Laughable! OK to watch if you are a big fan of Tan Tao Liang. |
