Plot:	Sven, a worker at a hydroelectric dam, teams up with a local journalist to investigate reports that the dam was built on dangerously soft soil. But then the town is evacuated, as a black-mailer threatens to blow up the dam if his demands are not met.
Overview:	In the sleepy little town of Hellenberg, the main attraction is the hydroelectric dam looming defiantly above it. It has brought prosperity to the town; but when the new security technician Sven arrives, he finds that it has also brought death: his predecessor died inside the dam under mysterious circumstances. With local journalist Claudia, Sven tries to find out what happened. It appears that the control data are being manipulated, and that reports drawn up by experts show that the dam was built on dangerously soft soil. Cracks appear in the foundations, water begins to trickle from the walls... When Sven and Claudia are cold-shouldered by the dam's builder and head engineer, they alert the authorities. But by now the town is being evacuated, since a black-mailer is threatening to blow up the dam if his demands are not met. Though they may not tie able to save either the dam or the town, Sven and Claudia are determined to find out the truth. As the clock ticks, they descend into the heart of the now crumbling, dynamite-filled dam...
