Memories Of Murder All Content Used With Permission. ![]() Loved it! 'Nuff said. -KEVINBELLAMY (see my profile) ![]() ![]() Bong Joon-Ho is a master. After making such a great black comedy as "Barking Dogs Never Bites" was, he was able to exceed himself. "Memories of Murder" is hard to categorize. It starts off as a black comedy, then it turns into a thriller, and at the end... I won't spoil the experience. Great actors (Song Kang-ho rules), brilliant directing, superb cinematography, and beautiful music. Memories of Murder is an essential masterpiece, which brings you many unforgettable moments. This film is five out of five. ![]() This is a superb movie. The cinematography, cast, directing, script, everything is flawless. Yes, I said FLAWLESS. This movie has amazing character development; you simply have to see it for yourself. This movie is based on a true story. Highly recommended! ![]() Wow! This is a very well done film. The mood set by the filmakers is spot on. The bizarre nature of these events, the twisted characters that are involved, the frustration of the investigation crew and the clumsy nature of North Korea at the time paint a compelling picture. Since this is a remake, those who know the history that inspired this movie will know its ending. But I don't think this will detract from Memories of Murder's power. It's only drawbacks, in my opinion, come from the adult content and its rewatchability factor. After you have seen it once, there's not much reason to watch it again. -Joshua Pettigrew (see my profile)
