Plot:	Set in Tokyo just after the war, the film tells of a gang of prostitutes who exact a fearsome revenge on any women who break their code of "no sex for free". When a handsome ex-soldier enters their world, it's only time before a terrible tragedy ensues.
Overview:	Set in Tokyo just after the war, the film tells of a gang of prostitutes who live and work in a bombed-out building. Under the leadership of the tattood Komasa Sen, they exact a fearsome revenge on any women who break their code of "no sex for free". When Shintaro, a handsome ex-soldier now on the run, enters their enclosed female world, it's only time before a terrible tragedy ensues. Now recognised as a classic of Japanese cinema, the film is a shocking, sometimes brutal but always compelling experience.
