Plot:	This ghost story is based on one of the oldest horror tales in the world. It tells of a young man who falls in love with a mysterious woman, only to discover that she belongs to the world of the dead. One night she comes to claim him...body AND soul.
Overview:	Set during Japan's Tokugawa period, this beautifully filmed ghost story is based on one of the oldest horror tales in the world. It tells of a young man who falls in love with a mysterious woman, only to discover -too late - that she belongs to the world of the dead. One horrifying night she comes to claim him...body AND soul. In the 1970's Japanese cinema became more sexually explicit. Leading the way was the Nikkatsu company with their "romantic porno" films. The story has been filmed many times, but this version contains many stunning images that will linger long in the mind.
