| According to Don Markstein's Toonpedia, the story of Woody Woodpecker's creation during Walter Lantz's honeymoon is probably not true. Apparently, Woody had already appeared as a supporting character in an Andy Panda cartoon called "Knock Knock", which first aired a full year before the first official "Woody Woodpecker" cartoon, "The Cracked Nut", aired in 1941. |
