This is a TERRIBLE dvd! It's SUPER full screen, and SUPER is not a good word in this case. I had to zoom out 2x just to try to get a clear picture of what was going on and that didn't help much. The dubbing on this print is the worst I've ever heard for a kung fu film, and I personally enjoy English dubs for the most part. The actors who dubbed this are not actors. They are monotone and possibly ESL speakers who don't have a grasp on the language. Avoid this DVD! It is poorly edited and looks like a mishmash of films edited together. I hope this isn't really THE STORY OF DRUNKEN MASTER with an alternate title, bad dubbing, and bad pan and scan. If it is I don't see how that film, which is supposed to be a classic, can be much improved from what I saw here. Characters appear and disappear frequently making me think this must be a hodgepodge of more than one film... |
