According to the BBFC's database the film has been passed uncut and as far as I can tell all of the action does appear to be here (when compared against the Mei Ah vcd release).

The plot at times I found confusing with some moments that were just completely surreal. In particular the term 'Evil Cult' seems to be a bit of a red herring as Jet Li's character becomes the leader of the cult and is the hero of the film. The ending also seems quite strange as it is rather abrupt.

Metrodome have made an acceptable contribution to the UK DVD market with this disk which bodes well for their forthcoming releases. The transfer for this film is very good with a sharp picture and strong colours. The cover lists the picture format as being 'Letterboxed widescreen' however when I watched this on my widescreen TV it appeared to be anamorphic as there were no black bars. The soundtrack is Dolby Digital 2.0 in Cantonese with remastered English subtitles burned on the screen.

The extra features included on the disk are cast and crew info, filmographies, picture gallery and theatrical trailer. It isn't the original theatrical trailer that's included here but one that's been dubbed for the international market. The inclusion of a dubbed version of the film on the other side of the disk would have been a nice touch but never mind.
