This was completely absurd and I loved it. I can definitely see that this won't be for everyone, you need a certain sense of humor for it. It did remind me a bit of a Mel Brooks Comedy like "History of the World Part 1", but instead it takes a trip through various genres of Japanese TV from the Zatoichi to Yakuza and finally Giant Monsters, all the while offering up a bevy of naked girls. My two favorite parts are when the Yakuza arrive at the warehouse for the fight to Michael Jackson's "Beat It", and when Beat Takeshi is hunting for the main character after he turned invisible to the "Ghostbusters" theme. |
