| Overview: | College has broken for the summer. So have Perry (RonReaco Lee) and Stephanie (Deanna Davis), this time for good...maybe. Both have doubts about their decision and their friends' advice only confuses them more. As the summer wears on, Stephanie's independence grows in direct proportion to Perry's neediness.
On the rebound, Perry encounters rejection, psychosis, rejection, the clap, and rejection. Stephanie, meanwhile, tries to re-establish a friendship with Perry, which is met with--can you believe it?--rejection. Will these two lovebirds return to the nest or will the feathers continue to fly?
Taking cues from both Spike Lee and Woody Allen, writer/director John Fisher, along with Director of Photography Charles Mills ("Boyz N The Hood"), explores the turbulent and often hilarious world of dating through the eyes of a group of African American college students. The film breaks from current stereotypes by excluding drugs, gunplay, and gang warfare. Instead, the war between the sexes is waged with words and a sharp ironic edge.
