ALTERNATE SYNOPSIS:
"My Tutor Friend" is the latest Korean movie adapted from internet-based novels. Starring Korean superstar and heartthrob Kwon Sang-woo (Stairway to Heaven) and Kim Ha-neul (Romance), this light-hearted film combines comedy, romance and action to track the changing relationship between a boy and girl from different backgrounds. Though both Soo-wan and Ji-Hoon are the same age, second year university student Soo-wan (Kim ha-neul), comes from a poor family and works as a private tutor to cover her expenses, while Ji-hoon (Kwon sang-woo), is a senior in high school from a rich family. Their path cross when Soo-wan is assigned to tutor Ji-hoon. Their lessons begin with many conflicts but along the way they began to fall in love.

Kwon Sang-woo was awarded "The Best New Actor" in the 40th Grand Bell Awards for his role as Ji-Hoon.
