I really liked this film. It has become one of the few movies I can watch over and over again. It can be slow at times and some of the things U-In does can be a bit disturbing, but if you can look past that it is actually a great story. As someone who grew up in the midst of the internet generation this film perfectly captures how easy it can be to feel so detatched from the world despite how connected everything is. There are some great scenes particularly on Aya's side of the story. Misato Tachibana does an amzaing job conveying so much while hardly speaking a word. Theres also some off beat comedic releif that is worth mentioning. I don't know what it is about this movie that keeps me coming, back but I am extremely happy with the purchase since I have watched it so much. |
