ABOUT THE CAST & CREW:

Christopher Lambert
Christopher Lambert was born in New York to French parents. From an early age, he developed an interest in acting and was accepted in the prestigious Paris Conservatoire Drama Academy. Thereafter, Lambert worked with director Luc Besson and starred in "Subway", which won him the Cesar Award for Best Actor. He now lives in Los Angeles with his wife, actress Diane Lane.

Michael Cimino
Cimino began directing TV commercials and industrial films around 1963. He started his directoral debut with "Thunderbolt And Lightfoot" (1974). Cimino spent nearly three years on the preparation and production of "The Deer Hunter", which won the 1978 "Best Picture" Academy Award and four additional Oscars. However, his next project, United Artists' "Heaven's Gate" (1980) was a total disaster. It was so bad that it began the downfall of the studio. Since then, Michael Cimino has made several "comeback" films, but nearly always as a studio hired hand, and with none of the autonomy he'd enjoyed in his dear departed "Deer Hunter" days.

Mario Puzo
Puzo was born October 15th, 1920 in Manhattan's Hell's Kitchen to Italian immigrants. The success of his first two novels led to the aforementioned fiscal difficulties that "forced" Puzo to write his third novel, "The Godfather". It was a Hollywood legend, and won him the Academy Award in 1973 for "Best Adapted Screenplay". He also acted as the screenwriter for "Earthquake" (1974), "Superman: The Movie" (1978), and "Superman 2" (1980), as well as "The Cotton Club" (1984), "The Sicilian" (1987), and "Christopher Columbus: The Discovery" (1992).
