| Overview: | Jaesup, a thirty-two year old man who teaches Korean at a night school, refuses to communicate with anyone other than a hooker he meets on the street. He goes to a college reunion when he hears that his old flame and alumna Hyekyung is getting married, but gets mad at himself for not being as socially mature as her. When a new student called Sohee enrolls at the night school, Jaesup senses her pain. He finds himself attracted to Sohee who seems to be both naive and mature.
Sohee, a sixteen-year-old high school girl, does not seem to have any financial problems at home, yet cannot find any warmth in her life an is filled with cynicism. One day when she is sick and tired of putting up with her middle-aged lover's demands to sleep with, Sohee runs into Jaesup on a subway station platform. Having followed Sohee home and seen Jaesup, the middle-aged man demands to know who is, so Sohee gets angry and takes off.
Having experienced a friend's suicide, trading sex with a middle-aged man for money, pregnancy and abortion, the sixteen-year-old girl has been in the depths of despair. Jaesup wants to sooth her pain but cannot approach her. The differences in their ages and social backgrounds interfere with their relationship....
