This film has no connection to Chen Kuan Tai's previous "The Iron Monkey," and is a lesser effort than that good movie - but it is a fairly good picture if one thinks of it as a small, independent action flick. Chen Kuan Tai's acting is nothing special - but his action is very special indeed.

Those expecting a sequel to Iron Monkey will be sorely disappointed after viewing this film. Nowhere in the movie are the words "Iron Monkey" uttered and the only thing the movies have in common is the male lead, Chen Kuan tai, who is referred to as Cool Head throughout this film.

The mystery element of the film is pretty lame and anyone familiar at all with the actors in this movie will figure out who the true mastermind is within ten minutes. That being said, the movie is not a total waste, as it does have some excellent fight scenes, something one would expect in a Chen Kuan Tai film.

Calling it "Iron Monkey 2" only because Chen Kwan Tai is the lead actor, is pretty lame.

Chen Kwan Tai is the chief police officer for the court, is out to solve the case of a murder, involving the Emperor, some kung fu beggar women, and a man looking like the Emperor.

Chen Kuan is great in this basic kung fu plot, but forget plot and watch the movie.
