 | | | | "Exorcist Master" is another tired vampire movie for which the charismatic Lam Ching-Ying again appears as a Taoist priest. Colin Chou from "Matrix" fame is his junior in training. The story is feeble and it's stitched together flimsily on the basis of cultural differences--east versus west, traditional ideology versus modernization, and religious novelties. LCY is the main bright spark to the film. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |

 | | | | While not as good as "Mr. Vampire" (it being one of my all-time favorite movies--so "Exorcist Master" does have a very big reputation to live up to), I still enjoyed this movie. I liked the competition between Eastern and Western Religion and later the two types of vampires, each invulnerable to the other religions methods. They could have shortened the dueling religions bit in the first half of the movie and gotten to the vampire invasion sooner, but all in all it was a solid hopping vampire flick starring king of the hopping vampires, Lam Ching-Ying. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |
