Highly recommended. Yeah, it's a TV series movie. So what? It's cheap, but Donnie really shines in this film. They were on a really tight budget, but they have so many great fight scenes, it's way better than some so-called kung fu flicks today. The Commentary and the Making of feature is a good thing to put in the DVD. Come to think of it, This is the best DVD I own. I think it was a real good TV show that was shot in BETA (BETA means video) , and this was a TV Show for ATV that was the most successful Show on ATV. Basically, if you watch Legend of a Fighter, This TV series, and then any of the incarnations of/ or even the orginal Fist of Fury, you'll get a huge story. The action is MUCH better than the other TV series you can buy with Donnie Yen, Kung Fu Master. Wirework is kept down, but still used. All the action is as fast as the actors can move, and most of it is pretty good. Even the fall and stunts are quite good, its very clear Donnie Yen was "brought up" (movie wise) by Yuen Wo Ping. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |
