| Plot: | Hsiao-Kang drops out of school and gets mixed up with some local hoods who commit a series of petty crimes in Taipei. What follows is a series of events that present a harrowing and poignant examination of alienated youth.

| Overview: | Kang is high school student with little interest in studying and a father he can't communicate with. He takes the money his father gave him for cram school and fools around at Shimanding where he meets Ah Tze, a small-time delinquent who vandalizes coin boxes for game parlor money and his partner in crime. Kang remembers that Ah Tze smashed his father's car before so he follows Ah Tze. When Ah Tze and a skating-rink girl are making love at the hotel, Kang smashed his beloved motorcycle for revenge. Crossing paths accidentally, the youths get into a series of absurd chases through the decaying concrete jungle that is Taipei.
