The all-region DVD by Deltamac presents the film in letterboxed format. Cantonese and Mandarin language tracks are available in Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround, along with optional Chinese and English subtitles. DVD extras are limited to the film’s trailer. Even more pleasing is the fact that the Deltamac DVD is currently available from HKFlix.com for a mere eight bucks – a tremendous value wise fans of Hong Kong films should be quick to take advantage of. A DVD of the film is also available from Tai Seng.

The film deserves to look better than it does but it's a good alternative for now. The print has only minor damage and colurs are good during the flashback scenes. Overall though, Deltamac's transfer, framed at 1.68:1 approximately, suffers from high contrast which reveals grain and artifacts during dark scenes in particular.

The Cantonese 2.0 Dolby Digital track sounds a little harsh but it's expected for a film now getting on in years. Elements are mixed well and I prefer Deltamac's mono tracks over a remix. A Mandarin 2.0 dub is also included.

The English subtitles, sometimes featuring rather abstract and complex dialogue, do a very good job in terms of structure and grammar. Traditional and simplified Chinese subtitles are also included. Only extra is the trailer for the film.
