Contrary to the DVD synopsis, kung fu and drama DO NOT merge in this film. There is no kung fu action whatsoever. There's a street style fight, with punches thrown and the opponents rolling around on the ground. But nothing worth mentioning as far as fight action.

Now that we've got that out of the way... It's a story about small time loser con men and their attempt at a kidnapping that promises to yield a huge ransom. But luck is not on their side as every element of their plan slowly turns sour.

The film is mildly entertaining, but nothing memorable. You can't really relate to any of the characters, so your not invested in the outcome of their demonstration of criminal stupidity. Early in the film there are some interestingly funky techniques with the cinematography. But the film's style soon becomes very pedestrian, and there are quite a few times when there's some blatantly sloppy editing.

I'd only recommend it for Lo Lieh fans and Shaw completists.
