If you enjoy cheesy fun Chinese movies with kung fu, this is right up your alley. The one-eye browed Taoist priest is a classic character much like Pai Mei or the One-Armed Swordsman. Seeing all his little ways to fight off vampires is hilarious, and the supporting cast also picks up some laughs as well.

Still-great fighting action as well as some simple but still clever humor. Everyone should be able to enjoy this film.

Light on martial arts action, light on scare factor. If you want something with a little spook to it, with cheesy zombies and some black magic mixed with some acrobatics fighting, then this is your voodoo. Scooby Doo, where are you?

There isn't much I can say about this movie that hasn't already been said. This movie is a classic, that deserves to be viewed at least once by anyone who claims to be a fan of martial arts movies. Comedy, well executed fights, and a little bit of drama as well; it has it all.

Classic cinema.....

A surprisingly fun and entertaining blend of kung fu, comedy and hopping undead creatures. Spawned many sequels and imitators.

Probably the best Chinese kung fu zombie flick ever made, it's the reason why so many films tried to reproduce what this movie did and is also the reason why Lam Ching Ying became so famous for his kung fu priest roles. To be honest, I thought this film was going to be garbage because I had gotten it [so cheap], but when I watched it, I have to admit I had a great time with it. There's a good amount of humor and the characters are interesting enough to keep the audience watching. There are no fancy fights here, even though Lam Ching Ying and Chin Siu Ho are both in it. But it's a very fun flick to watch. After viewing this film, I can see why so many sequels and rip-offs started to hit the market.

This movie is a lot of fun, although not scary at all. Highly recommended.

Simply one of the greats. Lam Ching Ying is at his best as the grumpy Taoist master and the practical (i.e. not CGI) special effects and cinematography recall a time in movies that is sadly passed. This is on the of films I use to get friends interested in Hong Kong movies. Deserves to be the collections of anyone who considers themselves fans of the genre.

Very fun movie. A mix of slapstick humor, martial arts and light horror.

If you like Hong Kong slapstick, you should enjoy this. Kind of a "what if the Three Stooges knew martial arts?" Being an American, I never understood the concept of warehousing the undead, but it still leads to some humorous plights. Plus, the lady ghost is gorgeous.

Great movie for its type. My girlfriend had never seen the Eastern type vampires and eventually got into the movie. Very good action and comedy. Great Lam Ching Ying film!
