A War Named Desire All Content Used With Permission. ![]() A young man and his girlfriend travel from HK to Thailand looking for answers and the man's long-lost brother, who is now a hardcore gangster embroiled in a dangerous powerplay within his gang. A stellar performance by Francis Ng, and an all-around cool gunplay flick with emotion. ![]() More than anything, I was curious to see what Alan Mak (co-director of "Infernal Affairs") could pull off, without the assistance of a great director like Andrew Lau; but unfortunately, I was a bit let down in some areas. But all in all it was a pretty decent flick nonetheless. I do feel I got my money's worth though. The action was a bit few and far apart, but when it did come about, it shined. And once again, another awesome performance by the great Francis Ng. If you're a fan of the genre and the cast and crew, then I would recommend. Other than that, it's a bit on the average side. -Ian J. Snyder (see my profile) ![]() A story about two brothers meeting each other in Thailand to sort out their family issues who end up sacrificing everything they love. Great Hong Kong action as usual!!!
