Our hero--or is it villain--is Chen Hsiang Ming, Private First Class, People's Liberation Army. He deserts when he learns of his father's suicide due to political persecution. With his brother Hsiang-Kuang, he gets into Hong Kong. Ming vows to get rich fast, by hook or by crook. He tries to smuggle goods into China but is frustrated by the marine police. His mate Rocky Boy even loses his life. The Chen brothers have as their neighbor May Ling and her grandmother. The old woman refuses to sell her room to developer Ko, who, as a triad leader, starts to molest May Ling. The Chen brothers come to their aid but Kuang suffers a broken leg...
