PRODUCTION NOTES:

1. Adultery? Romance?
Couples convince themselves by saying happiness is warm familiarity rather than a pounding heart. Their tension is lost in daily routines repeating itself like a m?ius strip... A new romance squeezes into their mundane lives. A moment of emotion felt towards a different other, not your husband or your wife... Do we call that adultery or a romance? In "Love Bakery," it is a trip you take to an unfamiliar place when you are tired from daily life. It is a trip that lubricates one's life, which makes the place where the trip has been passing richer than before. In the same vein, the momentary love one feels for someone else might make a married couple's relationship and love richer. In this way, "Love Bakery" takes a positive approach to this question

2. The messenger of love - cake
If Ang Lee's "Eat Drink Man Woman" portrays family harmony through cooking and "Babbet's Supper" illustrates the understanding and harmony of a village community through French cooking, then "Love Bakery" depicts the harmony and love of married couples through bread. A new romance squeezes in between a couple who bakes bread for a living, crippling their relationship. Their love is recovered through bread and it brings together people who would otherwise never be friends. Bread is the lively motif that moves the hearts of our characters and an important medium that allows life to mature.
