Rating, Out Of 5 Stars
The only cut that I am aware of in this movie is a scene where Jackie gets inspiration for a new style from watching a cat fight with a cobra. All of the fight scenes seem to have passed the BBFC unscathed.

This is probably the best UK DVD release so far of a Hong Kong film. The picture quality is excellent as the film has been remastered especially for the format. Purists may be upset though, as while the picture is enhanced for widescreen it is NOT the full ration of 2.35:1. Also there is a choice of soundtracks between English and original language with subtitles (although original language here is Mandarin not Cantonese).

There is also a host of extra features including an interview with the film's producer, a theatrical trailer, a picture gallery and a short montage of some of Hwang Jang Lee's best fight scenes from other movies.

All in all a good version of an excellent film.

Rating: 4 out of 5 for the disc.

This version of the film does not include the animal fight sequence, which has also been omitted from most other versions.
