96 min. This is an excellent restored print with rich colors and great clarity that is virtually flawless. The English and Cantonese audio tracks are digitally re-mastered, although they still sound a little muffled. This edition contains new, removable English subtitles that are easy to read. Substantial extras include an audio commentary by Bey Logan, biographies of Ng See Yuen & Hwang Jang Lee, three deleted scenes, three trailers of the film, interviews with Ng See Yuen & Roy Horan, and a terrific animated menu. There are also five impressive trailers for other HK Legends releases including Police Story, Mr. Vampire, Naked Killer, Police Assassination, and Red Wolf. Logan's commentary is packed with useful information, especially about Conan Lee, Corey Yuen, and related topics covering filmmaking, Chinese traditions, and history. |
