I didnt enjoy it as much as I did the first film. I felt the film was just too long and full of scenes that weren't necessary. The action is still crazy, since it is a Jackie Chan film, and it's still very entertaining. It's not as great as the original but definitely entertaining.

This worthy sequel is somewhat darker in tone, and the comedy has been scaled back a bit. And I think this was a good move by Jackie, as to not just repeat the first movie.

With that said, I don't think it's quite as good as the first one, but it's very close.

The stunts are maybe not as grand this time around, but still good and painful to watch (in the good sense).

And once again, Jackie and his guys suffer for their art...literally, judging from the end credit outtakes.

The fights are also on point, especially the playground fight is rewind-worthy. And Benny Lai as the deaf mute bad guy, steals the show in the end fight.

A great sequel and JC must-have.

Doesn't recycle the first movie like I expected. The old bad guys are back for a really good fight sequence and the finale is really good and shows off some other actor's talents--man that little guy can kick. Second best in the series after number one.

This movie is somewhat ignored, even though it is just as good as the first and third. Jackie returns with Maggie Cheung and Uncle Bill. The martial arts are some of Jackie's best.

Definitely not one of my favorite Jackie Chan movies. A little old for my taste (I like the early-, mid-90s stuff), and not the greatest action.

YI agree. Other than the fantastic fight in the playground, there wasn't a whole lot of action. This one pales in comparison to the first Police Story.William Giordanella

Pretty good. Has its flaws, but what film doesn't? Not Jackie's best, but pretty good. It has some good and fun fight scenes, though I found the final fight sort of lacking, it seemed more about stunts than fighting.

[Police Story 1-3] represent some of the more serious works by Jackie Chan, and all are filled not only with exciting fights but plenty of incredible stunts, such as when he jumps onto a moving bus in Police Story, or the fight on top of a train in Police Story 3.

I tend to prefer Jackie's older work such as Drunken Master, where he uses more traditional martial arts with fancy names for every move. None the less, I still enjoyed the virtually non-stop action.

Ever since I was a little kid, Police Story 2 was one of my all-time fave action movies. Jackie returns as star and director in this jam-packed sequel to its equally enjoyable original as Kevin Chan, who is attending as a Traffic-cop after his behaviour at the end of Part 1. The Mobster Koo is released from jail (due to his early expected death), and vows to ruin Chan's life. After a fast-paced fight scene at a cafe, Chan is furious and ends up resigning from the force. But as he is planning his vacation with girlfriend May (Maggie Cheung), terrorists blow up a Hong Kong shopping mall and blackmail the owner to give them $2 million if he wants his other shopping malls safe. Chan has no choice but to re-join the force and crack the case. As he gets deeper into the case- the terrorists use him as a weapon and to collect the money for them.

Wow! What a movie- it has everything a 'Chanatic' could possibly ask for: Breath taking fights, explosive stunt work and absolutely hilarious comedy. Which all blend into every major action scene in the movie. I don't know how people could say that the 3rd installment was the best- IT CAN'T TOUCH THE 2ND BY A MILE!! It has everything that we could expect Chan to deliver as director and star. Simply unavoidable!! Excellent
