It takes awhile before it gets going, but this is a terrific movie. John Liu and Hwang Jang Lee are in top form. There's an awesome three-way battle in the finale. Highly recommended.

One of my favourites.
What can you say about this timeless classic? This movie is about one man, the villain whose relentless fighting and aggression gives me goose bumps. I've searched over for his movies because I enjoy him playing the villain roles. He's good at what he does. The movie was awesome.
Any movie featuring the great Hwang Jang Lee and John Lui is a real treat, and this movie lived up to my expectations. Some excellent fight scenes, predictable but interesting plot, how can one betray his own country? I guess that's why greed and power is rooted in human nature.

"Snuff Bottle Connection" is a highly recommended classic of the old kung fu genre. According to the old Martial Arts Movies magazine, it's one of the four fine movies made by Seasonal Films starring super kickers John Liu ("Secret Rivals") and Hwang Jang Lee ("Drunken Master"). It has great suspense, story and cinematography, along with the awesome fight choreography and direction of Yuen Woo Ping ("Iron Monkey", "Hero Among Heroes").
