Obvious comparisons to UNDER SIEGE and Kenny Ho's lack of leading man charisma aside, there is still a lot to enjoy about this movie. Especially considering it was made during the HK action dry spell of the mid 90's. You have hot girls Christy Chung and Elaine Lui. Superkickers Ngai Sing and Cho Wing. The G7 (Gwailo action team). And Yuen Wo Ping at the helm. Great inventive fights, bloody gunplay, crazy stunts and good production value. Not a must-have in my book, but definitely worth checking out for HK action fans.

I have mixed opinions about this film. It started off all right and had tons of potential but then things started downhill really quickly. In my own opinion the action choreography is nothing spectacular or very original. Different strokes for different folks though.

Also the comedic elements in this film pretty much ruin the mood for me. I couldn't get over the fact the movie featured scenes of multiple murdering (The ballroom sequence) occurring then within a few minutes a 'LOL' moment followed. What the hell?

A huge disappointment. For a "Die Hard on a Cruise Ship" movie, it was really slow moving and whenever there was any action, it was too short or it kept intercutting with other scenes, thus taking the viewer out of the excitement.

The movie's hero, Kenny Ho does employ some good techniques such as soaping up a room so that henchman Bobby Samuels keeps slipping while Kenny stays afoot with bath mats tied to his shoes, and Kenny while locked in a freezer stays warm by making a camp fire with his jacket.

Christy Chung was very charming, but it was a shame that she didn't use her real voice. Her fight scene in the movie is very funny in a goofy sort of way, and it ended up being the best fight in the whole film.

The other fights were just missing a lot. Kenny Ho fights a superkicker, but it's over before you know it, and the finale with Kenny Ho vs. Collin Chou spent too much time intercutting with other parts of the movie.

All in all. I don't recommend.

This movie was barely okay. While there was lots of action it was strictly "B" grade stuff. Not at all worth the price.

This film is a must-see for the all movie lovers, though a rival to movies like "die hard". It features lots of action and probably the most gunplay that I have ever seen in a Yuen Wo Ping film. No doubt Yuen Wo Ping is one of the best action-directors ever.
