Overview:	To encourage a positive attitude, hearing-impaired mother Asako joins a theatrical troupe with her daughter Ai. Problems arise during rehearsals between the deaf and the hearing, but they learn to work together and overcome their differences. On the day of the public performance, Ai discovers that her mother lost her hearing when giving birth to her and doesn't take it so well. As the curtain rises, Ai is nowhere to be found.
