The DVDs by ChinaStar in Hong Kong and Tai Seng in the USA are identical. The Tai Seng DVD is simply a ChinaStar DVD with some extra stickers on it. While Disney claims it is illegal for anyone but them to sell this title in the USA, Tai Seng claims the same thing. So we're offering the Tai Seng version for sale and we'll just let Tai Seng and Disney battle it out.

NOTE: This review refers to the Hong Kong DVD from Chinastar.

Even though this title is out of print I thought I'd share some info on it in case you fans come across them for sale somewhere. This version of the film is (as already stated) not fully letterboxed. This does create a real problem during the fight scenes and reduces their impact substantially. The other version has the small, permanent subtitles (which are occasionally hard to read). But this version, despite the beautiful looking, crisp, easy-to-read electronic subtitles, has a different problem: the subs lag far behind the dialoge creating an annoying confusion during many scenes. If you can find the other version, that's the one I recommend. The only plus for this one is a very cool "making of..." special. Good luck finding it.
