| With the war "over", both the UPSF and the Taalgon Empire are taking stock of their situations and rebuilding their forces--and looking over their shoulders at the other side. Neither of them are totally happy after the events in "An Exceptional Episode: Tylor's War". Still, peace is peace...
Taking advantage of this brief respite, the UPSF high command has scattered the Soyokaze's crew throughout the galaxy. Kojiro has been sent to test out a new generation fighter while Andresson, Cyburn, and the rest of the marines have been ordered to be checked out in the newest in assault battle armor. Commander Star is now deep in the intelligence community and Yamamoto has even gotten his own command (although not in a destroyer), but all is not well. There is some trouble on the border.
Back in the Taalgon Empire, even Princess Azalyn is taking some time away from her duties, and has visited a place filled with comfortable memories. Her vacation should be a time of rest, yet this is not to be. Even here on a distant planet, trouble is never far away.
