Early oddity from Kirk "Rock-n-Roll Cop" Wong is excellent. A creepy sci-fi flick that relies heavy on atmosphere to convey it's message of of alienation in a world spinning out of control. Reminiscent of Tony Scott's The Hunger, FFKF's industrial music soundtrack is deafening, it's visuals stark and eerie, and it's lasting affect unshakable. A decidedly different film from one of Hk's future action king's. An allegorical precursor to films showing HK's rapidly growing throw away culture. Look for a weird (seems the only way to describe this film would be weird, creepy, odd, eerie, etc.) segment featuring a baby faced Elvis Tsui Kam-Kong in what looks like a diaper! You won't soon forget it! |
