Another Ti Lung film. He represents. And my man from SUPER NINJAS is the villain. The hero betrays Shaolin for a good cause, but his brothers don't find out his motives until--well, they don't find out. Check this one out. Flash Legs is also in this one.

I really liked this movie. This is the first movie where I have seen Ti Lung play a bad guy, good guy. It had a very interesting plot and a twist. The fight scenes were nice as well. I thought this movie was good overall.

Not a bad indie effort. Basic premise is Ti Lung goes undercover to kill Chan Wai Man. Unfortunately, his brothers from Shaolin have to suffer the price in getting his mission accomplished. I thought it was rather comical that Chan Wai Man finally understood Ti Lung was up to something near the end when he was secretly training his brothers to fight against the Chings when he was torturing them.

I liked the film for the most part, but it wasn't anything that made me want to hit the rewind button. A worthy rental.

The action was a little slow-paced for me, but good (that's why 4.5 instead of 5) Ti Lung, excellent, as always. The story was awesome, my older brother keeps bringing up the plot when talking about this one, so it has to be great!

Very enjoyable movie to watch. Good fight choreography. Ti Lung is excellent in his role of playing a traitor while in reality he is training the Shaolin prisoners to rebel against the Chings. Shows nice Wing Chun.

Personally, I find that Ti Lung was so much better than his movie partner David Chiang (who does not appear in this movie). Tan Tao Liang is very good in his few appearances doing his usual kicks, although I have seen better performance from him ("The Hot, The Cool and The Vicious", "Showdown At The Cotton Mill", "Flash Legs"). Chan Wei Man plays a good villain.

The film is gorgeous - mainly because of Ti Lung and Shi Szu, and also because it has a magnificent opening sequence of a full "form" at the beginning (except all the lettering covers up half of it). Great fight scenes with some of my favorites, Li Hsiuh Hsien (he is now in a lot of action/cop films), is in it. I read an interview years ago in a Shaw Brothers movie magazine in which they were saying that Ti Lung is a Wing Chun practitioner in private life. Wing Chun makes the best upper body definition, and he looks great in this film! If you are a Ti Ling fan, this is a must. I saw this on the VCD (with no English subtitles in Cantonese and Mandarin) and bought the DVD, but still haven't watched the DVD yet. Just wanted it in my permanent collection.

This film has a typical Ching/Shaolin plot with a twist. Ti Lung plays the character of a Hero posing as a traitor. He demonstrates perfect wing chun. Tan Tao Liang demonstrates his perfect kicks as usual. Chan Wai Man is excellent as a villain. You will see many veteran Shaw Brothers stars, such as Danny Lee, Tsai Hung and Shih Szu.
