| Don't believe the hype (if there really was any), and run as far away from this movie as possible. O.K. maybe it wasn't that bad but it definitely left a dry unwanted feeling in my mouth when it was over. Ok we got Daniel Wu, which has had a streaky career. His character was nice and all but it just never really went anywhere interesting and was too trite. Edison Chen had too much on his mind and kept drifting onto these boring non-relevant sub plots, which were catastrophic. I think I enjoyed the short part played by Anthony Wong the best, while that is not saying much. I don't know why I disliked this film so much. I guess I was just expecting more out of a high priority film like this. It did have decent character development and some nice CGI effects but I just felt like both were just so boring and stale that I could never really sink my teeth into the picture.
Oh Yeah, I guess I should mention something about the lovely princess herself played by the (I think new) actress Lee Sin Je. Was she really a princess, did she have special powers, where they just dreams. I don't really have the answers because my concentration was not at its peak during the watching of this film. There were a few moments where she shined, but again, the flava of her character didn't appeal to me. I thought the most fun was when she was in the club working with those cool shades on.
My final thought on this picture is Blaaaaa.
Well I guess this review was all about me...(I used "I" a lot like I wrote this review for I) So maybe you should watch this movie yourself and enjoy it a lot more than I, I, I, did and you can write a review that will put this review to shame...lol) |
