There's quite a bit of great kung fu on these five discs. Sure you're getting a lot of independent, low budget stuff; but that seems to have more of an appeal anyhow. This is a great springboard into the world of classic kung fu, at an incredible price.

Lots of action, plenty of plots, great for my library.

This is a real middle of the road collection.

You get ten movies, but most of them are flawed. Some aren't widescreen so action spills out of frame. Some are dark and relatively hard to watch. You also have some really bad dubs and editing. And even if you put all of that aside alot of the movies are just rip-offs trying to capitalize on better films. There are two "gems" here: "Fighting Ace" and "Monkey Fist, Floating Snake". Neither offers a new story, but the action is pretty good. "Fighting Ace" will appeal to "Secret Rival" fans, and "Monkey Fist..." is geared towards your "Snake In The Eagle's Shadow" crowd.

For those who don't feel two movies warrant a purchase, "Fighting Ace" and "Monkey Fist..." are also available separately...

In this DVD collection, known as the "Fist Of Fire, Swords Of Death", "Shaolin Vs. Manchu" has by far been the best movie in that collection. Well that isn't a great accomplishment saying that the rest of the DVD set is just pure garbage. The fighting forms and stances do not match the titles of the movies...in conclusion, if you see this DVD collection just run.
