| OK before I begin, can someone explain this movie to me?
The minute I first heard about a sequel to "Her Name Is Cat"--which happens to be one of my favorite HK films of all time--I got so hyped that it wasn't even funny. But when I actually saw it, I become so freakin' upset. It was nothing compared to the first one and it was really sad to see that Clarence Ford didn't come back to direct and Wong Jing didn't produce. However, Almen Wong returned and it's always good to see her in her usual action mode and Ben Ng was a surprise. But their apperances in the film are no excuse for this crappy-ass film. I knew that we were in the hands of so-called filmmakers when I saw misspelled English subtitles on the bottom of the screen and ending credits that were barely visible. The film itself is kind of confusing and there is so much going on that at the end of the film, you're probably going to say, "huh?" It follows Almen Wong's character protecting a girl whose life is in danger and has to search for a computer disk at the same time. Plot 2 follows a man who was exiled from Hong Kong and was forced to move to Thailand and later gets into troubble with the government. Pretty crappy, huh? Well, dont take my word for it, just see this waste of time and money at your own risk. |
