The quality of the "Panorama" DVD is quite good. The video is crisp, and the audio is crystal clear. Every gunshot, explosion and every note of the well orchestrated opera scene sounds perfect. Sadly, the one special feature on the disk is a set of three trailers for different movies. However, I believe this is the only transfer available on Region 1, so there isn't a whole lot of room for choice here. This would be a great movie to have a commentary for. All in all, this is a highly recommended movie – although the plot may feel thin at times, the movie has that special power keeping it moving, and it is just a joy to watch.

This disc is marked as Region 3, but it is actually All-Region. The audio is in the original Polish language (yes, it's actually a "Japanese" film in Polish).

The first pressing had a metalic cover and the packaging said "Special Edition", the current version does not have the metallic cover (see "additional images"). There are no "special edition" type features on the disc (despite its misleading title), except that the first couple pressings included a collectible postcard inside.

At the time of this writing, Panorama is now on their third pressing of this DVD, with yet new artwork.
