The conclusion to the story begun in part one, this one adds a tomboyish Christy Chung to the mix. Some decent action, but this one never really takes off until the explosive finale.

This film is a masterpiece you're never going to forget. I love the star Brigitte Lin in this film, her character is the leader of a female Clan created with women betrayed by men and in a ritual and under a spell, fight against mankind for revenge. When love reveals the truth, she dies in the arms of her lover. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I waited a long time for part 2, and I was a little disappointed. It didn't have very much swordplay or fighting like part 1. The plot was good; however, the writers tried too hard to make it a love story, which made the movie boring in my opinion.

She's back! Brigitte Lin returns as the White haired swordswoman bent on punishing everyone from the 8 marshal art schools. What's great about Brigitte is she looks natural with a sword: she's got that demeanor and grace. In other words, she looks as if she means it when slicing her way through a host of badies! This time she has a group of very nasty assistants who resemble the Berbers of North Africa---with an attitude! They hate all men and go out of their way to let everyone know. This tale picks up 10 years after the first movie ends. The White haired witch steals the bride of her hated enemy and turns the poor girl against her husband and 8 warriors storming the lair to get her back. There's plenty of action, swordplay, great costumes and conclusion to the series.. The original director and cast are in this continuation and it makes a great second half to the overall story. Even though Peter Pau's artistic camerawork isn't here, it still retains a very similar flavor and art, making this fair above average for sheer eye appeal. If you enjoyed the first Bride, you'll find this a pleasant treat. Two thumbs up, mate!

(**1/2) Brigitte Lin, with kung-fu hair that shoots out and stabs her foes, has assembled a small army of angry young women pledged to kill the members of the 8 Clans, Lin's enemies in part one. With its flashbacks and plot complications, the plot confused me hopelessly; the herky-jerky camera effects were just another annoyance to put up with. Happily, Lin's intensity chains your eyes to the screen (at least whenever she's on).
