 | | | | I was surprised how good this movie was, though you had a feeling the actors were not taking their roles seriously. It may have been the dubbing that made it appear silly. But I take Alexander Fu Sheng very seriously. He is a very good actor and now I have all my favorite films with him. He is like a Chinese Keanu Reeves to me. But seriously, his fighting style has always told a story. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |

 | | | | David Chiang's not anything special, but Fu Sheng and the rest of the cast are. This is very good. Several of the future Venoms are in this, and they're impressive acrobat/performers. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |

 | | | | This was kinda' entertaining. It had a lot of comical parts which outweighed the martial arts scenes. I was very disappointed with this movie. The ending was also disappointing. There were maybe two good fight scenes in this movie. Don't rush out to get it. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |

 | | | | The fights were great, but the storyline was a little different. Still a great movie with a wonderful cast. The last fight scene could have lasted a little longer though. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |

 | | | | I think this film was supposed to be funny. It was not. What's worse is that all of the stars in this film are bad, no one does a good job. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |

 | | | | Not bad, but not near as good as it should have been. A movie with Alexander Fu Sheng, David Chiang and the Venoms should have been great. Be warned: the Venoms do not show up until nearly the end, and you've got to strain to see them. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |

 | | | | Not a good movie and David Chiang was sub-par. He was more than lousy as was his fighting skill level. If it wasn't for the other cast members, I would have given this movie a zero. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |

 | | | | This film is a little bit stupid because the Mongolian Forces are so dumb. The performances of David Chiang and Fu Sheng are okay. I have seen better films than "Magnificent Wanderers". Buy it if you like Shaw Brothers or let it be. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |

| The box art heralds that this movie stars Alexander Fu Sheng and David Chiang and "features" the Venoms. This is not a Venom flick. On the contrary, this is a shameless attempt to "market" the movie to Venom fans. Make no bones about it... this is an Alexander Fu Sheng and David Chiang star vehicle with scattered unrelated bit part "appearences" of one or more later-to-be-known-as Venom actors. In fact, the "co-starring" Venoms are wont to be found even in the opening credits. This movie was made in 1977, one year before "Five Deadly Venoms (1978)" and probably before anyone knew what a "Venom" was. Consequently, this is a decades later attempt to capitalize on the fascination with "anything Venom." Even worse, this is not even a good Fu Sheng or David Chiang movie...On its merits as a kung fu flick, this is not a satisfying movie, with rudimentary uninteresting fight choreography, and I would recommend it only to avid Venom curiosity seeker collectors to catch a glimpse of a few actors "before they were Venoms." |
